Hello. Welcome to the glorious month of March! MARCH! Where the real madness begins, basketball! Snow storms hit and then melt within days, and the temperatures begin to increase with warmth. Ahhhhh. We finally made it out of that last hideous month. The sun is shining!!
My last post promised I’d be back shortly but you know, of course we would get hit the last weekend when the kids returned from my Mom’s with the only bug that hasn’t invaded our home yet this winter. The dreaded stomach bug. Luckily for O and I, we escaped it unscathed but I can’t say much about the other two. I think I may have used an entire can of Lysol in two days while I quarantined them!
At any rate, here we are…. we made it into March! I am hoping to get back into full throttle training again. It’s been challenging squeezing in my runs. This fourth week I’ve managed to only get one short run in, a fit camp class and NOOOOOO yoga classes due to illness and cancellations. Holy crap, was I cranky! And, yes, I do yoga at home but it’s not quite the same as being able to go into a class and tune into that mind and body connection that I so desperately crave. This was by far my most under trained week. Ever. However, I actually ran 3.5 miles on the snow day we had on Thursday with a neighbor friend, which was quite enjoyable. This weekend I’ll do the 8 mile long run…or possibly on Monday. I am definitely going to switch my long run to during the week. I have readjusted my schedule and now I just need to confirm it with a friend, who will pick up the Bean from preschool on those long run days. Thank goodness for amazing, supportive friends!
Time to get my yoga on.
